C Thompson Machines Ltd have been supplying new domestic sewing machines and overlockers since 1972.

In that time we have seen many brands come and go.

Three brands that have endured however have been Necchi of Italy and Brother and Baby Lock of Japan.

These brands have consistently strived to make available high quality machines of the latest design.

While Necchi have always been Necchi, Brother was previously marketed as Jones, Brother personal embroidery machines give outstanding performance and versatility, especially when combined with Windows PC and PE-Design software.
Baby Lock pioneered the home portable overlock and have been emulated by many, while most top brands have had there home overlocks manufactured for them by Baby Lock.

We supply Baby Lock domestic sewing machines and overlocks to schools and Colleges.

C Thompson Machines Ltd became the area service agents for New Home/Janome in the seventies.

In the mid seventies C Thompson Machines Ltd also became supply and service contractors for local authority education establishments from Berwick in Northumberland to Houghton-le-Spring in Co Durham.
