Two brands that have endured however have been Necchi of Italy and Brother of Japan.

These brands have consistently strived to make available high quality machines of the latest design.

While Necchi have always been Necchi, Brother was previously marketed as Jones, Brother personal embroidery machines give outstanding performance and versatility, especially when combined with Windows PC and PE-Design software.

C Thompson Machines Ltd became the area service agents for New Home in the seventies.

In the mid seventies C Thompson Machines Ltd  also became supply and service contractors for local authority education establishments from Berwick in Northumberland to Houghton-le-Spring in Co Durham. Singer, Bernina, Riccar, Viking/Husqvarna and New Home spare parts can be sent anywhere in UK and Europe.

The FASTPRESS steam or just electric press also enables quick easy ironing, even sitting down.
