Because the hot knife melts the end of the tape, cutting is sealed neatly without any fraying. Because the upper knife is stationary and the lower knife plate is unfastened, its durability is very long. Cutting time (stroke time) can be easily adjusted by a separate control unit. The lower plate is powered by a pneumatic cylinder.
